For this project, we were assigned a single word. This meaning of the word had to be displayed by its form and presentation using only the letterforms. I custom-created these individual candles and photographed them in a dark studio setting. The letterforms were melted to convey the idea of the corruptive nature that desire can have. The cobalt blue shade was chosen to give the word depth and convey the mysterious nature of desire. The candle flame represents not only the dot of an "i" but also the idea of "burning desire" and yearning for something with fire and passion.
